Professional Qualifications

My career began as an Accountant, which is often unexpected. I studied for my Bachelor while raising the twins as a single mother in my twenties. From there, it felt like a natural progression into Finance & Administration Management in corporate Brisbane. While on maternity leave with my youngest, I decided to reinvent my life again. I went back to study Photography and founded Art for Life in 2012. In 2020, I was invited to teach at the University where I had studied Photography, dived into more learning to build skills as an educator, and I have been teaching Photography and Business ever since. I also work 1:1 with students privately. In 2024 I realised that it was time to create my own education programs, and so the Art for Life ACADEMY was born.

My Story...

Began as a teenage mother of twin daughters with only a Year 10 qualification. By far, being a mother is my greatest joy in life. But the road was long, and I am not known for doing things the easy way. I was determined to set a good example for my daughters and so began a lifetime of learning, and levelling up, to create the life of my dreams. Education is always at the heart of every success in my life. I believe deeply in the transformative power of learning, and it's become my life's purpose to share this experience with creatives, photographers and entrepreneurs who like me, dream about a freedom-based life.

My Story...

My Tribe

It's my greatest privilege and joy to raise a girl tribe. Adult twin daughters and a teenager, who teach me on a daily basis what it is to be a woman. I would call myself lucky, because I do feel lucky, but I also know the commitment and dedication it took to get where I am today.

 

My Purpose

My greatest professional achievement on paper is having founded a successful, six-figure, boutique photography business. Artistry is in my bones. In my heart, the most motivating achievement is the impact my students tell me that I have made in my work as a University Lecturer (Photography & Business), mentor, coach and educator. It feels like soul work. I have truly found my purpose.
